Why Pi Jam?

It is natural to be preoccupied with the thought of our children's academic excellence for which we don't leave any stone unturned. But in that pursuit, we forget to answer two very important questions. Is my child future ready? Second, are we providing the right platform that enables her to authentically explore her creativity and curiosity?

In this fast-changing world, existing technologies are being replaced by newer technologies, making it essential to acquire new skills and competence to thrive and lead the change. The more our soon to be adults are comfortable with technology, the better they will function in tomorrow's world. And it is not about just giving them a computer programming lesson, but to build a sense of leadership, an attitude of identifying problems in our everyday life and an urge to develop solutions (even if insignificant) using technology. To achieve this goal we at Pi Jam adopt a STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) approach and all our efforts revolve around this central idea. Our curriculum and projects are developed by academicians, technologists and scientists from IMD (the Indian Meteorological Department), IISER (Indian Institute of Science Education and Research) Pune and Teach For India (TFI) alums. Our workshops are interactive and less pedantic which provides a perfect atmosphere for children to enjoy learning, use imagination, explore their creative potential and most importantly have fun.

We are also proud to say that we won the 'Best Innovation of the year' award for education in the NASSCOM social innovation forum (NSIF) 2018. To know more about us please visit us our website www.thepijam.org or our facebook fan page facebook.com/thepijammers.
